Applications for 2012/13 MYSP Program funding will open in late March.
Eligible organisations that can demonstrate a capacity to develop strong partnerships to deliver sustainable sport participation programs for youth from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, and assist in integrating them into sporting and physical activities. For this purpose, youth is defined as those up to and including 30 years of age. Funding should complement a series of activities and sustain the operation of a partnership network between community organisations (including those receiving government funding to support migrants such as settlement service providers, migrant resource centres and multicultural youth organisations) and local sporting organisations.
Idea: Connect with CQU International Students Literacy Program. Integrate students into the community and engage their families and communities with the club activities. Sunday afternoon Bowls Program.
Applications for 2012/13 MYSP Program funding will open in late March 2012. It is expected that 2012/13 applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in late July 2012. All organisations successful in securing MYSP Program funding will be required to acquit grant funds and submit a project report on their project at the completion of the financial year.

What can grants be used for?
Grants are available for projects consistent with the objective of the MYSP Program to engage multicultural youth in participating in sport and physical activity, such as:
- Cross cultural awareness training for sporting organisations
- Sport awareness training for community groups
- Sports coach and official training for community groups
- Facilitating English as a Second Language training for volunteers
- Promotion of local sporting opportunities and inclusive club-based activities
- Facilitating linkages between school and club-based activities
- Running community sporting carnivals and participation programs
- Running modified sport exposure programs
Funding will not be available for:
- Projects that are inconsistent with the objective of the MYSP Program
- Retrospective project costs
- Duplication of existing services or funding
- Subsidy of general ongoing administrative costs of an organisation
Applications will be assessed against a key set of assessment criteria and other considerations.
